Nebraska Nursing Schools

Western Nebraska Community College has a Licensed Practical Nurse program designed to be completed in three semesters. This program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and approved by the Nebraska Board of Nursing. Classes consist of theory and clinical practice. After successfully completing this course, students are prepared to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure.

Southeast Community College (SCC) offers an Associate Degree Nursing Program on a part-time or full-time basis. This intensive program consists of two quarters of prerequisite courses and 5 quarters of nursing core classes. SCC is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and approved by the Nebraska Board of Nursing.

Nebraska Methodist College offers several nursing degree programs. They offer a LPN to BSN bridge program, an accelerated BSN program and an RN to BSN program. This college also has graduate programs – Masters and Post Master’s Certificate Programs.

University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) – College of Nursing offers a program that has a standard of excellence for educating nurses to become leaders. They are committed to educating nurses to help fill the shortage our nation is experiencing. (UNMC) offers a Bachelor degree undergraduate program and graduate programs in a state-of-the-art facility.

Bryan Health College of Health Science offers undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. They have a low student to teacher ratio with a focus on clinical based training. Upon completing an undergraduate Bachelor degree program and student will have completed 1200 clinical hours. This program utilizes patient simulator and state-of-the-art equipment. Students have the advantage of learning with the help of other health professionals at Bryan Health Medical Center.
